foobar seems to have its own database that remembers info about tracks without reading info from the tracks. You might see the RG data disappear if you press "Reload info" as you view the properties of a track.
But SlimServer needs the RG info stored in a tag, and that's usually in an APEv2 tag for an MP3. You can put put it back in using 'MP3Gain' (http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/). You can do an entire directory at once. Be sure to use the Track Analysis/Album Analysis button, not the Gain button. The Analysis button will merely analyze and write the RG data, the Gain button will actually modify the volume of the file's audio. -- Mark Lanctot ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mark Lanctot's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2071 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=23729 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
