Guys, The issues with slimserver 6.5 appear to run beyond just iTunes.
First, i got confirmation from the helpful folks at Slim Devices that slimserve5 6.5 uses iTunes volume levelling tags before it uses ReplayGain tags (e.g., APEv2). Do you know how slimserver interacts with files that were created by Windows Media Player, using its volume leveling option? I have some files that were ripped with it and they seem to be causing me problems. -- they have no iTunNorm tag -- they have no ReplayGain information (according to tagging software like MP3Tag and Foobar 2000) -- and yet SlimServer reports large problematic volume adjustment values such as -14.44 Where slimserver getting these values? -- eschurr ------------------------------------------------------------------------ eschurr's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2007 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=28152 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
