I think any more replies here are a waste of time, but I would just
like to say if anyone is reading this thread is not yet convinced:

- that lossy compression may cause quality loss depending on how it is
compressed
- that some software cannot rip accurately
- that open source is compatible with the profit motive
- why DRM is bad for practically everyone except the few big rights
holders

...and is genuinely interested in knowing or debating (instead of
propping up fallacious arguments with titles and net worth) please
start a new thread on the subject.
