i've been doing some more digging and I now see that the FLAC frontend
just uses the GUI settings to create a batch file (go.bat?) and then
launches FLAC.exe 

I hadn't realized that it also used TAG.exe to take the
folder\filesnames and turn them into TAG's because i guess this is also
something that I need to happen.

For some reason the batch file that the frontend is creating is faulty
in some way because of the error messages I can see when I point to WAV
files in different folders, it encodes and TAG's just fine if everything
is in the same folder..
