I'm ripping CD's via EAC to flac's on a Windows PC. Most CD's spin at a
moderate speed and the songs get ripped at a steady pace.

But sometimes a CD starts spinning at a really fast pace right away. It
reads data for only about 10 seconds then stops accessing data while
continuing to spin madly. My hard drive keeps lighting up. Then the DVD
drive will slow right down, then speed right back up again, access data
for another 10 seconds and then repeat the whole cycle over and over
until the CD is copied. It takes way longer to do the rip.

Is this becuase my CD is damaged, even though it looks perfect? Or does
EAC doing something I should know? Thanks.
