I haven't used Easy CD-DA, which I assume is what you're talking about. It does do FLAC encoding?
EAC doesn't have the most intuitive interface. If you can get past that, it's the best and it's free. To me, as a >10yr EAC user, your choice is like buying an Easy-Bake oven, when you could have a Viking range for free.
