Hi all,
When I 1st got into this, I twice asked tech support at SlimDevices
what utilities where best for ripping to FLAC, and each time was
referred to EAC or EZCD. When further asked "What do you use?" the
answer was EZCD. Then looking into the forums,
I see all referrences are to EAC, and was moved to repeat my queries to
the CDripping service SD has partnered with. Their answer was that
EZCD/DA "gives great results" and to the effect that it is a viable
*finished* product with a fine UI. My experience with just <2000 CDs
ripped with it is that if it shows an error, I can change the ripping
mode to *recover & repair*, which slows the rip from 4-5 minutes to
<10, and gives a no-error result (unless the CD is really a mess.)I'm
really happy with the final sound: (BolderPS/SB3-> recent Van Alstine
pre & amp-> Klipschorns)
So... why don't I see more discussed re: EZCD? It is easy enough
to not require much discussion, but are any of you using it, or
did use it and found it lacking?
Thanks, Karl
