This is a problem with Windows filesystems, and your LinkStation
probably uses one.  It's a good idea to name your files using
characters that work on the widest possible range of hardware (for NAS
devices, MP3 players, DVD archiving, etc).

So, in general, avoid these characters: " * / : < > ? \ |

You may also want to avoid leading and trailing periods in filenames
(leading periods hide files on *NIX systems, trailing periods are
ignored on Windows systems)

Typically your ripping software will have options to avoid/substitute
certain characters in filenames as it creates them.  What ripping
software do you use?  I'm not sure what software to use to fix the
already-created files.  Maybe someone else has a suggestion?
