Hardware primarily. The Squeezebox is designed as a 2-channel playback device, AC3/Dolby Digital is primarily a 5.1-channel playback format. Of course, there is such a thing as 2-channel AC3. Beyond that, it isn't exactly DRM, it's licensing. An AC3/Dolby Digital decoder carries a licensing cost that would have to be passed on to the end user. -- Mark Lanctot ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mark Lanctot's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2071 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=33194 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
