Well I try not to fudge the tags too much to make up for limits of the devices - that's why I wouldn't put Artist in the Album Name. But I agree that a 35 character limit is frustrating and it's particular bad for classical music.
I find I avoid using the remote control to control the SB except to just play a genre. To be honest I find myself playing my flac files using MediaMonkey out through my EMU 0404 + Tapco S5's on my PC rather than use my SB + £7000 worth of audio equipment. Sad but true. It's just fast, convenient and user friendly. What I really want is a rich client for controlling the SB.
