There's no money in it - we do it primarily as a service to our
customers.

You can automate to some extent, but you always have to manually
extract the CDs from their cases, and we always do a tag tidy-up and
set all the VA & Disc Number tags etc for Slimserver - which don't
generally get set correctly.  If you automate, you'll just get whatever
tags come off the on-line database, so its garbage-in, garbage-out.

I don't know about other services, but I suspect they are more aimed at
MP3 ripping - so a few errors here and there don't matter - and it's
always the small percentage of discs that have problems that take the
time.  Those and the ones for which there's no on-line info ...
