I have Slimserver working now on Linux with one Squeezebox and one software client running on a computer other than my server. I'd test this out if I could, but I don't have another computer with a sound card, so I'm asking.
I noticed I can define software clients (obviously, since I have one) and select and play music for that client. Then I tell the client to listen to http://slimserver.ip.addy:9000/stream.mp3. Just this afternoon I had one set of songs playing on my Squeezebox and another set playing for my software player client. How does Slimserver decide which selections to stream on stream.mp3? Does the content of stream.mp3 actually change according to what IP address is accessing it? I would doubt it, but that would be pretty cool. -- HalNineThousand ------------------------------------------------------------------------ HalNineThousand's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12392 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=37113 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
