fred: I've been using Max for quite a while and never run into that problem. A few thoughts: Have you run a maintenance program such as Onyx? If not I would recommend that first. Run it in the Automation mode so all the caches get cleaned. If that doesn't help then you might uninstall Max and download a fresh copy.
