OK, I had streaming working, but now it's not working. First, I verified the mp3 conversion is working by feeding the mp3 stream to by SB3. There doesn't seem to be a way to see the stream data rate on the SB3, but it is obvious that lame is running due to the change in sound and the huge delay when chaning tunes.
Using videolan over the network on my X64 box, I get: =============== access_http error: error: HTTP/1.0 404 Not Found access_http error: error: HTTP/1.0 404 Not Found access_mms error: error: HTTP/1.0 404 Not Found main error: no suitable access module for `http://susususe:9000/server.mp3' ======== and ========= Unable to open 'http://susususe:9000/server.mp3' =============== I have turned off the window and nvidia firewall. I have set up the router to pass ports 9000 and 3483, both tcp and ucp. [I think port 9000 only needs tcp, but there is inconsistent info on the net regarding this, so I used tcp and udp for both ports.] Reaching the slimserver on the suse box from the x64 machine is not an issue. That is, http://susususe:9000 works just fine. I don't have videolan on the linux machine, but I tried streaming using helix, which didn't work. Of course, helix gives no diagnostics. -- gariac ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gariac's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12871 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=38720 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
