So - the way RAID systems work is using 1 disk to protect your data. For 1TB, you either need 2x1TB Drives, or 3x500GB or 4x400GB drives (for room to grow).
Now, most systems will make you buy preset configurations. If you are interested in something safe, easy and expandable (much easier to expand than the Infrant) check out a Drobo (www.drobo.com).
