I did som ripping from DAT, had some old recordings from radio. I just
used SPDIF out from my DAT connected to the input on my HTPC to make it
into one big WAV file. After some editing in Nero Wave Editor I saved it
to several tracks. Then I used the Flac converter (using a bat-script)
to set the correct tags on the files. The files are still 48 kHz in
Flac and sound better than ever... Very tiresome job, and now my
DAT-deck is dead, still have some more tapes to convert! When my Denon
2000 DTR worked it could record in 32 kHz, 44,1 kHz and 48 kHz, it is a
consumer product.
