The jumpers are only for the unbalanced connection.

It uses the ReplayGain algorithm.  See

This is a limitation of the GUI.  The CLI clearly shows several decimal
places and any software that can read APEv2 tags (including SS/SC) will
show several decimal places.  If you write the tags with the GUI, it
will still be several decimal places but the GUI will round up/down to
the nearest 0.5 dB.  Not sure why.

It uses APEv2 tags.  This is a bit unusual.

Only if you set the gain will it actually modify the files' volume.  If
you just carry out analysis, it will only write tags.

True.  I believe foobar also writes tags in a more conventional ID3v2.x
format.  But I still prefer MP3Gain and since foobar doesn't work in
Linux I'll stick with it.
