Ok first make sure you are using the reference version. For fast ripping using secure rip you really just need to have it do accurate rip. What it does is brillant and simple. It first does a fast rip and compares its value with Accurate rip if it finds the CD and the rip value matches then it marks the track good and moves on. If it does not match it then goes into the secure rip mode. This method is probably faster for most people and they have a surprising number of obscure albums in accurate rip. However I am not sure how one would disable accurate rip, maybe Spoon can answer that.
Also note that you have a number of utility codecs you can use. These can do things like modify tags, I use one that adds a different tag for disc number because the one dbpoweramp does not work with some software I have (the software does not follow accepted standard, dbpoweramp does). You can also have it detect for HDCD and it will detect discs encoded with HDCD and encode the flac to 24bit, note you can enable this even for non HDCD and it will not affect normal CDs. -- m1abrams ------------------------------------------------------------------------ m1abrams's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=850 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51938 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
