Wow I bet Spoon never thought of someone having a 70+ minute track! That would require ~700MB of RAM and if you only have 1GB I bet you were swapping to disk pretty bad. Personally if it were me I would see this as a prefect excuse to upgrade memory, 1GB is not really enough memory for a modern machine. As cheap as memory is these days you should be able to get that machine up to 2GB of RAM for less than $40 even with it being laptop memory. In fact a coworker just asked me to install 2GB of RAM into his laptop.
