I've struggled for a while with the VA logic and have had to finally accept a compromise which is a shame as I've been careful to tag my files well and every other program I've used (Netgear's server, JRiver Media Center and Windows Media Player) have always just used my tags and hence shown everything exactly as I wanted it.
I've got all my Band tags populated but SC is the only piece nof software that insists on using the Band/Album Artist and the Track Artists mixed together. Very frustrating. I'd say if VA logic could be turned off then the system could ignore anything without the right tag, or stop scanning or anything. I really wouldn't care as long as it could be disabled: if the user is disabling it then they should be able to sort their tags out. Is there any way to vote on a bug? This my only bugbear with the software.
