Sorry to post this again but I previously posted this in the Linux/Unix forum in error and am re-posting here in the hope that it may solicit some responses:
I changed from Windows to Ubuntu a few weeks ago and settled on rubyripper for simultaneous ripping of aac and flac files from cd. For aac I used the neroAacEnc free codec which until recently didn't tag the output file. However Nero have now released neroAacTag for linux which I have placed in the same folder (usr/bin) as neroAacEnc. I can't figure out the command line syntax to simultaneously rip and tag to aac files using Rubyripper - does anyone here know how to do it. I currently use: neroAacEnc -br 256000 -if %i -of "%o.m4a" to create excellent aac files and then tag them with EasyTag. Was thinking of appending something like this tagging string: && neroAacTag %a %t %b %n to the ripping string. Have tried many combinations sometimes specifying input and output files to the tagging string but all to no avail.
