My advice: tag while you rip. Make sure that the ripper of your choice (EAC, dbPowerAmp, etc. WMP, doesn't matter) can obtain the track tags from one of the public services around (I use FreeDb). But make sure it has artist, album artist, composer, year, genre, etc. correct. This information will be used on your Slimdevices equipment. It is very tedious to do tag editing afterwards! So the easiest is to get it right the first time. I'm relatively happy with WinAmp tag editor for MP3 files and I tried Picard for flac but it is just a hassle/not working for me.
