If you want EAC like functionality on a mac, XLD is the closest thing at the moment i.e. it can carry out secure ripping, and has AccurateRip support. I've heard that this functionality will be incorporated into Max in the future as well.
For tagging, you can use Max's sister apps Tag & Play. I use Play to edit my tags manually, to carry out MusicBrainz tagging for untagged tracks, and to add ReplayGain to my ripped music as well. I should point out that I think there is a bug in the ReplayGain feature when working with mp3 files, but it is fine with FLAC.
