Thanks, Mp3tag didn't display the Album Artist field. I went back to Itunes and via their interface whacked the Album Artist as well as the Composer fields. I had hope that all would be well when I imported back into Squeeze Center but it is still hosed up. There is something about the ID3 format in an Itunes generated MP3 that Squeeze Center is barfing on. I cant get album art to work, and the album name is listed twice when I sort per artist. I renamed the Album field to "aa" just to show what's going on. See attached.
I have spent 10x more time on this than if I would have driven to the local CD store 2 miles away and made MP3's the "old fashioned" way.
