I am having a drive to clear up all my tags, folowing in the footsteps of all those who have gone before. Following advice in this forum I am using MP3TAG which I am very happy with.
My main problem now is that data in the "Band" field is being incorporated into "Artist" by the SC scan process. I have tried (I think) all combinations on the Settings/Music Library tab, i.e. Band/Orchestra checked and not checked, and both options for the TPE2 tag - but the frigin Band info keeps coming through when I scan with the "clear library and rescan everything" option. Apart from deleting it all how can I stop it? 75% of my music is classical and I have overwritten Artist with Composer so that I can select by Composer.
