If you don't want to show band tags it should be enough to: - Uncheck "Bands/Orchestras" in "Composer, Band and Orchestra in Artists" option. - Make sure "Treat TPE2 MP3 tag as Band" has been selected if you use MP3 files.
If bands are still shown after you have performed a full rescan with these changes there is either a bug or you have put the information in an ARTIST tag by mistake. I think you will still see bands when looking at the song details but you shouldn't see them in the standard browse menus. With MP3 files it's sometimes easy to get confusing result if a file is tagged with both ID3v1 and ID3v2.x tags, in this case you might have an incorrect ARTIST tag i ID3v1 but your tagging software just shows the ARTIST tag in the ID3v2.x. The solution in this case is to instruct the tagging software to delete the ID3v1 tags (just make sure that you have all information in ID3v2.x tags first). -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.isaksson.info) 'My download page' (http://erland.isaksson.info/download) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library and Database Query plugins' (http://wiki.erland.isaksson.info/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57512 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
