I think I'm going to batch convert my whole library to Flac, from WMA lossless. I'm going to use DbPowerAmp. I've got about 780 albums to do.
There's no major reason, just a whole bunch of little reasons. I'd like to check that I'll be getting a benefit though. Will my ArtistSortOrder tags work in flac? (Not supported in WMA) Will ReplayGain work with flac? (Not sure they do in WMA) I'm assuming that my tags will get copied across ok - is my library likely to grow, or shrink, by much in physical Gb terms? I'll do a little bit of the library first for testing purposes...
