Hi Agillis, Thanks for the hint. When talking transcoding on-the-fly, then SqueezeCenter could do it anyway (maybe it is using faad internally) but then it is not possible to seek in the songs.
Anyway, that would not be that bad and if the transcoding turns out to be to difficult to handle I will leave it in Apple Lossless and let SC do the job. But I'll take a look at faad and see how it would work for file-to-file transcoding.
