When you say "exported to the server" this may be the answer. Playlists
won't normally cause a problem if they are created on the same machine
as SC but might if they were created on another machine and then copied
over to the SC machine. It depends how the music files are referenced in
the playlist itself.

Can you create a playlist on the SC machine, using SC, save it and
compare it in a text editor with one you have imported...
