strange. it was definitely showing up with no details in musicIP when 2.4 tags were used. anyway, i've just changed my workflow accordingly. the only thing is the 2.4 tags aren't viewable in mediamonkey. although that's not neccessarily going to be my media player of choice on my desktop anyway...
