Hi, I have most of my music in both flac and wma file formats. The reason for this is that we (wife and I) have portable mp3 players - thus listen to flac on the Squeezebox and wma's on the portable players.
About 10% of my collection is wma or mp3 only. I have my mp3s/wmas in one folder structure (folder "mp3" followed by folders in artist\album\ format), and flac in another (as mp3 but with top level folder of "flac"). I have yet to update to Squeezecenter, and am still using Slimserver. Am happy to update, but I want to solve this problem: How can I get Squeezecenter to catalogue both mp3 and flac folder structures - with the following rule? where there is a duplicate album track under both formats, only catalogue the flac track. Currently, I only point Slimserver to the flac folder, for fear of mass duplicates in the catalogue. Hopefully, I've explained the problem well enough (brevity was never my strong point). Am happy to give more details or clarify if needed.
