EAC allows fine control over CD drive offset positions, etc. Not sure dbPowerAmp has the same level of drive configuration to get rips exactly correct. If an album is ripped and it doesn't match a pressing of the disk in the accurate rip DB, you can submit your copy to the accurate rip DB. If several people do the same for a new album, and they haven't set the drive offset either, doesn't that mean you get a false confidence that the rip is good? Ultimately, this only affects a few samples at the start of the first track, so it's nit-picking!
