I'm pretty much doing the same thing (ripping to FLAC). When I do this
I don't see the compilation CD listed under "Various Artists" when
browsing Artists. I do see the track listed if it's from an artist with
another album, and I do see the compilation CD listed when browsing
Albums. I am using the Group compilation albums together option.

I would like to see the compilation CD listed under Various Artists
when browsing Artists. 

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
