I was aware of the referenced thread. The problems for me are: I have the TYER tag set to the year when an album was released, i.e. all the tracks on that album have the same TYER value. If a track on an album was originally released in another (earlier) year than when the album was released, I have the TORY tag for that track set to the original release year, i.e. a different value than the TYER value for that track. This means the TORY values of the tracks in one album can differ. For flacs I use DATE instead of TYER and ORIGYEAR instead of TORY. (This was the recommended way of tagging in the thread referenced by me.) I am only talking about the case where the TORY tag of one or more tracks on an album is different from the uniform TYER tag for (all tracks on) the album. 1. When only the TYER tag (and only the DATE tag/comment for flac) was read by SBS all albums were sorted under the year when the album was released irrespective of when tracks on that album was originally released. That made sense, but it was impossible to, for example, see a list of tracks originally released in one year. Now, the album is not sorted under the year when it was released but under another - almost random - year (the year when one of the tracks on the album was originally released). This makes no sense at all to me. 2. When browsing by year, the album shows up under only the random year assigned to the album. In the web UI, it is still not possible to browse by year and see all tracks originally released (according to the TORY tag) in a particular year. If a track has in SBS a year value different than the year value assigned to that album by SBS, the album/track does not show up at all under the year assigned to the track by SBS when browsing by year. See the attached screen shots for an illustration. 3. Since ORIGYEAR for flacs is still not supported, flac albums are treated differently than mp3 albums although they are tagged according to the same logic. I would like to have the year value in the SBS database for an album assigned to the TYER or DATE value and the year value in the SBS database for a track assigned to the TORY or ORIGYEAR value.
