99% of my music is MP3's at 256kbps which were added to the computer via itunes (mostly from CD, some purchases). I've updated all the information in itunes like artist, sort artist, title, etc. where it was missing or wrong.
This information is stored in tags associated with each track - is this correct? When I get mysqueezebox to go look for my music it is using these tags but it's not getting all the information correctly. Albums in particular seem to get split. Why is this? Does the windows folder (Windows XP machine) that the files are sitting in make any difference? What should I be doing differently? I still want to use ITunes because I like the itunes store and use it to play music on the computer itself. I get the feeling I need to do some cleanup outside of itunes? I'm sure this has been covered before so please point me to another thread if that's the case. I found a lot of discussions on this but nothing that I could clearly understand.
