I've been able to partially answer my own question. A CD like Genius Loves Company was by Ray Charles but each tracked listed the artist he sang with. I found this to make the list of artists too long so I shortened it in Itunes to just Ray Charles. It appears that my Itunes settings created duplicates on the hard drive when I did this. Therefore when the squeezebox looks through my hard drive it finds the song twice.
I think I'm on the right track but any other tips would be appreciated, based on the threads I'm reading you guys are way ahead of me.
