Jim, thanks for that excellent help. i used your first option, as i won't be doing this often.
i did this on a "test" run, (i made backups first ;-) using your relative path string: %band%\$num(%track%,2) %title% and it made the subfolders under "unsorted" which is fine, as well as placed the appropriate file in them. however, it also renamed the files. i don't want it to do that. i just want it to create the folder, and move the file, as is, to it. no changes to the filename or tag, just create the folder and move it to it. is that possible? thanks again! -- MrSinatra www.lion-radio.org using: sb2 & sbc (my home) / sbrec (parent's home) - sbs 7.5.2b - win xp pro sp3 ie8 - p4(ht) 3.2ghz / 2gig ram - 1tb wd usb2 raid1 - d-link dir-655 - 43k+ mp3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MrSinatra's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2336 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80719 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
