Last night I downloaded a 24/96 album of Vivaldi's 4 seasons from HDtracks. I'm running Squeezebox Server 7.5.1 on a Windows 7 64 bit machine.
I have other classical music pieces on my HD that I listen to, and track order is important so as not to have the movements jumbled! So here is my problem: There are 12 total tracks to the piece. I put the tracks in the file folder: C:\Users\Rick\Music\HD Vivaldi 4 Seasons On my hard drive they show up in the above file folder in the proper order 1 through 12 with the album art last. When I look on my Touch (or Duet controller) in: My Music>Music Folder>HD Vivaldi 4 Seasons, the tracks show in the following order: 10, 11, 12, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 As you might expect, when I play the tracks starting with 10, it does indeed start with track 10 and will play through all tracks, ending with 9 which is, of course, not the proper order. I have tried changing the Album Sort Method in Advanced Settings, but this has no effect. I've also tried changing some of the sort settings on the computer, itself, and then doing a rescan in Squeezebox Server but, again, this has no effect. The other oddity is that when I go to My Music>Albums on SBS and look at the Album, the tracks do show up in the correct order. I have other file folders with multiple tracks that are in the right order coming through through the SBS Music Folder view, BUT the only two folders that exhibit this out-of-order charactaristics are the two that have more than 9 tracks. The other folder with this issue has 10 tracks that show up as 10, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. All of the other folders with less than 9 tracks show up in My Music>Music Folder in their correct order. Anybody know what's going on here, why this issue only manifests with folders that have more than 9 tracks, and why My Music>Albums shows the tracks in the correct order and My Music>Music Folder does not???
