I'm confused. Earlier you said you wanted the name displayed as "Firstname Lastname" (eg, Kate Bush). Now you say you want it displayed as "Lastname, Firstname" (eg, John, Elton). Presumably you're talking about two different displays. Could you be more precise which devices/interfaces you're talking about in each case?
In general, SBS sorts on ARTISTSORT, and if ARTISTSORT doesn't exist, it sorts on ARTIST.
