You keep saying that, but...

If you have an album like this:

ALBUM: All The Roadrunning
Artist: Mark Knopfler
Artist: Emmylou Harris

ALBUMARTIST Mark Knopfler & Emmylou Harris

I find it VERY useful to set COMPILATION = 0 on such albums, to avoid
the presence of multiple Artists from triggering any VA processing in
SBS.

I really don't care what Winamp, iTunes or any other software might or
might not do with those tags, since there is NO standard that is 100%
implemented or even recognised... and I ONLY use SBS as a player.

IF I switched to another player, I would invest the time (if any) in
reorganising my tags accordingly, using MP3Tag.

In the meantime if you are using SBS as your primary player, I strongly
suggest that people pander to its tag proclivities and enjoy the music
rather than agonising over deviations from a (non-existant) tagging
standard :-)
