It's unnecessary, though, when you have an ALBUMARTIST field. In fact, I find it undesirable. For whatever quirky reason in Squeezebox Server, having COMPILATION=0 is not the same as having no COMPILATION tag, and it affects how the artist list is presented. Remember this? http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=5108#c21 I used to use COMPILATION=0, but from what I learned in that discussion, I went back and removed them all from my library. I much prefer the artist list without them. If you have a guest artist on a track in a non-compilation: ALBUM=Supernatural TITLE=Corazon Espinado ARTIST=Carlos Santana ARTIST=Maná ALBUMARTIST=Carlos Santana ALBUMARTISTSORT=Santana, Carlos then you probably don't want that artist appearing in your artist list, same as for track artists on compilation albums.
