The different browse modes (Album, Artist, Genre, Year) define the _unit_of_observation_. That is, Albums gives you a list of albums, Artists gives you a list of artists, etc. How those observations are _sorted_ is an entirely separate matter. If you actually like having your albums sorted by album title, that's fine, and it accommodates you. It also accommodates people who prefer other sort methods. If you need further proof, consider for a second why there are different sort options for the Album browse.
