no it does not hack it, it adds tags in a way that SBS is happy with 

SBS has supported ID3-tagged WAV files since 2006, but the ID3 tag has
to be in a RIFF chunk called 'ID32' or 'ID3 '


The only good bit of Windows software that I know of that does it
really well  is Tag&Rename, and because it's not well known (an not
free, a $30 USD bargain IMHO) , then everybody says it cannot be done,
and that it if you do it, it must be a hack, or it's not supported,
blah, blah , blah
