Semantic, but it is suported in Broadcast Wave Format which is an extension to normal wav and backward compatible and not a hack per definition ID3 tags are suported by BWF, I'm not a nitpicker but others migth be, the practical implication is the same ( limited support in consumer software, and compatibility issues, but that plagues all audio formats just pick your set of acceptable troubles when chosing format ). limited support may be the issue depending on the user case or not. That BWF is largely unknown to authors if ripping and tagging software and many muisc playing softwares is mysterius but a fact. ( in itself a good reason to avoid it ). it's been done since 1997 SBS picked it up in 2006 , dBp uses it to but widely unnoticed. I used tag&rename for a long time before, now i'm using mp3tag or puddletag. I did like the UI in tag&rename , I started to use mp3tag due to it's ability to solve tag mysteries re multiple formats etc, maybe it's time to try a never version of tag&rename ( if it's runs in wine ) . -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
