Hi, I have this problem with sorting too. I have opened a bug for it (http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=17304)I am not sure I have been able to describe the issue adequately in the bug description though. The bug report 17310 describes the same or a similar issue
Normally I tag like this: ALBUM: Requiem, op. 89, for Solo Voices, Chorus and Orchestra (CD 1) ALBUMSORT: Dvořák, Antonín-1985 ALLPICTURES: [ HASH(0x6e834b8) ] ARTIST: Antonín Dvořák ARTISTSORT: Dvořák, Antonín BAND: Czech Philharmonic Chorus and Orchestra COMPOSER: Antonín Dvořák CONDUCTOR: Wolfgang Sawallisch What I have noticed is that when an artist in the ARTIST tag and the composer in the COMPOSER tag are the same and contains accented characters then sorting is broken, i.e. the ARTISTSORT tag does not have any effect. But after having read this thread I realised that I too have the recording by Daby Touré & Skip McDonald and that one is correctly sorted. So I started looking at the tagging of those files. Basically what I found is that adding just the ALBUMARTIST tag to my example here above would remedy the sorting issue. I did not add the ALBUMARTISTSORT tag. There is something very strange going on with these tags in the database. Unfortunately I don't know enough about the SBS database to start to look into this in detail myself. -- Johan S ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Johan S's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=42796 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=90661
