It's worth making sure the track numbers are in a consistent format.

I've found that (depending on the source of your tags, software used,
etc) some tracks will end up with track numbers such as:

1
02
3
4
5
06
07
...

This tends to screw up the track sorting in Squeezebox.

I've also found that occasionally, the Discnumber tag will be filled on
random tracks that can screw up album sorting. Generally, you want to
make sure that for a disc that you:

1. Don't have Discnumber tags (in a single disc album) or
2. That the discnumber tags are consistent on a given disc... You don't
want some tracks to have DISCNUMBER = 1 and others to show DISCNUMBER =
1/1 (and other variations that can show up).

This all assumes that the Shuffle setting is not your problem.
