1. what do you mean the convert action didn't "enter identifiable tracks"? If the tags are correct it should have renamed the actual files (based on the correct tag data) and then moved them to the correct directory. 2. album vs album artist. Oh my. you can read 100s of pages of threads about this topic. Short answer, is that for most pop music you don't need album artist as it is the same as artist. But I think VBA ripper may add album artist to everything. But in compilation albums the album artist might just be "Various Artists"(where there are different track artists (i.e., best of the 70s or a soundtrack album, etc.). 3. regarding composer, you may want to add this. First make sure it is not already there (in mp3tag, right click on track(s), select extended tags, then see if composer is there). If it is not there, simply select the tracks, right click, select extended tags, click on the icon with the little "star" just to the right of the metadata panel showing fields. This allows you to enter a new field. Click on the dropdown and select COMPOSER. If COMPOSER is not an option, just type it in that space. Then below that enter the composer name. (You can do this for multiple tracks at the same time). 4. May be easier to do this if you simply add the composer field to your tag panel. Click on TOOLS > OPTIONS. Then click on TAG PANEL in the popup. Click on the little "star" icon to add a field. Add COMPOSER (and other fields you use a lot like album artist, compilation, etc. Also check the boxes for display album art and directory switcher. Save this. Then you can simply see these boxes always on the left side of mp3tag screen and if you want to edit, simply select the files in the right side window and type your composer info, etc. in the box on the left. -- garym *Location 1:* VB Appliance 6TB (1.10) > LMS 7.7.1 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Location 2:* VB Appliance 3TB (2.0) > LMS 7.7.1 > Touch > Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Office:* Win7(64) > LMS 7.7.1 > SqueezePlay Retired: SB3, Duet Receiver Controllers: iPhone (iPeng), iPad (iPengHD & SqueezePad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.7 on Win7(64) laptop Ripping (FLAC) - dbpoweramp, Additional Tagging - mp3tag ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=92734 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
