I do an offline backup to an 2,5" USB 3.0 drive. It is stored savely and fast. Imagine one overvoltage will kill your NAS together with your main PC!? NIGHTMARE! I have a folder on my PC with new and changed albums i synchronize every now or then with this external HD. This folder is independant of anything. In your case all TAG corrected albums will go there.
