Why don't you just register the albums on musicbrainz.org ?
The whole principle is that musicbrainz users register their albums and
get an identity back.

I would strongly recommend to NOT use fake identities in the
musicbrainz tags, that's going to create a mess sooner or later. It
might work for TrackStat at the moment but when some app decides to
call musicbrainz servers to retrieve more information about an album
and it doesn't exist, you are going to get all sorts of problems.

If it's a single time renaming operation, you can always:
1. Do a TrackStat backup
2. Rename the files, perform a SBS rescan
3. Edit the TrackStat backup in a text editor and change the same
things as you renamed in point 2.
4. Restore TrackStat backup
