I ran into the path length issue as well a lot of non-English characters
giving scanner.exe conniptions, with my classical collection. I found a
very straightforward way to identify all the problematic files and paths
was to use a utility called DelinvFile (for windows) that has a very
fast scanner for invalid items, in conjunction with a powerful renamer
utility like Ken Renamer. The only thing left to do by hand was fix cue
files that referenced files with changed names.
